Upon graduation from law school in 1965, Mr. Cetti began his law practice in Tampa, Florida, with the firm of McClain, Thompson, Turbeville, White & Davis, where his area of practice was appellate work, both state and federal. Subsequently, he went into solo trial practice in Tampa. In late 1970, he relocated to his hometown, Pensacola, where he established a civil trial practice as a sole practitioner. His practice focused on personal injury, wrongful death and other tort litigation (approximately 60%), about equally divided between plaintiff's work and insurance defense. Significant experience in motor vehicle accidents; premises liability; professional negligence; casualty losses (including fire, windstorm and flood) and other first-party insurance claims; large number of jury trials, chiefly in state court. Also, numerous bench trials, chiefly in divorce and other family law matters (about 20% of case load).

Mr. Cetti began mediating cases in 1989, and became a Certified Circuit-Civil Mediator in 1991. From 1989-2001, he mediated part-time in conjunction with his trial practice (about 30% mediation, 70% litigation) and transitioned into full-time mediation in 2001.

Mediation practice consists chiefly of personal injury, wrongful death, products liability and other torts; professional negligence; employment, discrimination and civil rights; construction; hurricane claims; eminent domain; contract disputes; estate and probate; insurance claims (both first-party and third-party). Also, he has mediated cases involving business disputes and real estate matters. To date, Mr. Cetti has mediated in excess of 3,800 cases, with a high rate of success. In addition, he has been a lecturer in mediation-focused CLE seminars and has written articles published in The Summation, which is a periodic publication of the Escambia-Santa Rosa Bar Association.
