Biographical Notes:
After having been a trial attorney for over 20 years, the majority of which has been in civil litigation, I decided to focus the majority of my law practice on mediation. Although I had been mediating cases since 1998 while a partner at Bell, Schuster, Wheeler, & Hiers, P.A., I opened my law office of Davidson & Hiers, P.A. in October 2002 in order to devote my energy primarily to mediation. Mediation now constitutes 100% of my practice.
An effective mediator needs to understand the issues. I mediate in those areas that I have litigated. These include personal injury, products liability, medical malpractice, construction, maritime and employment law; as I have tried these types of cases in both the Florida State and Federal courts since 1987.
If you have already mediated with me, then you know that I am a firm believer in the mediation process as being the most effective and least expensive method of settling disputes. Consequently, I take my role as a mediator very seriously and work very hard assisting both sides in reaching a settlement. Although I can not promise to settle your case, I can promise you that I will utilize my trial experience and work as hard as I can to assist you in reaching a settlement.
