J. Gary McMakin is a highly respected ADR professional in the Tampa Bay area who operates a successful practice solely dedicated to mediations.
Since 1989, he has conducted several thousand mediations and arbitrations utilizing his expertise and insight of the plaintiff’s position as well as the defendant’s position; providing neutral perspectives for an effective, efficient, and productive mediation. Additionally, he has the abilities and skills in facilitating communications between disputing parties. Gary’s work has earned him a well established reputation of excellence in mediation and arbitration throughout West Central Florida.
Gary continues to receive and uphold the highest rating from his peers with an AV rating in Martindale-Hubbell. He is a member of the Hillsborough County Bar; The Florida Bar; Florida Trial Lawyers Association; Association of Trial Lawyers of America; Association for Conflict Resolution; Florida Academy of Professional Mediators; Law & Leading Attorneys and Alternative Dispute Resolution. Gary has been a guest speaker at Stetson Law School and a guest lecturer for plaintiff and defense seminars.
