Biographical Notes:
John S. Freud, Esquire, is a state certified Florida and federally listed mediator (Southern District of Florida); AAA certified mediator and arbitrator (February, 2009, arbitrator certification); International Mediation Institute panel member; International Court of Claims panel member: nationally certified Construction Dispute Resolution Services, LLC, mediator/arbitrator/dispute review board member (see, johnfreud@cdrsllc.com); and NASD certified mediator and arbitrator. He is a graduate of Brandeis University (B.A., magna cum laude, 1978) and the University of Miami School of Law (J.D. 1981). 

John S. Freud has participated in over 3,500 mediations and arbitrations during his career. Those matters have ranged across many varied areas of the law, including without limitation, Complex Commercial/Construction/Real Estate/Securities Litigation, Creditor's Rights, Employment(Discrimination, ERISA, EEOC and Wage disputes)/Civil Rights, Environmental, Government/Administrative, I.C.C. Arbitrations, Insurance/Coverage/Bad Faith/Surety, Intellectual Property/Patent and Trademark, Judicial and Quasi-judicial proceedings, Landlord/Tenant/ADA Compliance, Marine, Mass Tort/Class Action, Nursing Home, Personal Injury, Product and Professional Liability, Property Damage, Professional Malpractice, Title Insurance and Wrongful Death.

In addition, John S. Freud has presented continuing education seminars to members of the Florida Bar, as well as professionals in government and the construction / engineering/ architectural industries. In commercial, construction and related industry matters,as well as personal injury actions, John S. Freud has provided mediation and arbitration services on many of the largest public/private, multi-party matters in the country.

John S. Freud presently provides mediation and arbitration services state-wide (or nationwide) to claimants and respondents through his local office, as well as providing those services (and special master/magistrate, umpire and private judging services) to counsel and parties through Mediation Solutions, Inc.

John heads up Mediation Solutions, Inc., and was the managing partner of a boutique civil trial firm for almost two decades. He has been honored as a listed Mediator in Trend's Legal Elite, August, 2007, August 2008 editions.

Freud is a member in good standing of the Florida Bar (active); the Massachusetts Bar (inactive status); Florida Supreme Court certified mediator and arbitrator; the Florida Academy of Professional Mediators, Inc. (Diplomate - highest distinction available); the AAA (certified mediator and arbitrator); International Mediation Institute; and, a listed Umpire in the Florida Windstorm Network. Mr. Freud has received an AV rating in Martindale-Hubbell, as well as having been listed in Who's Who in America/American Law and Who's Who of Emerging Leaders in America. He is admitted to practice before the Florida Supreme Court; the Trial Bar, United States District Courts (Southern, Middle and Northern Districts of Florida); United States Court of Appeals, Fifth and Eleventh Circuits; Supreme Court, Commonwealth of Massachusetts; and, the United States Supreme Court.
