Biographical Notes:

Mr. Koch has significant experience in a variety of complex commercial litigation matters including antitrust and unfair competition, intellectual property infringements, securities litigation, class action defense and contract litigation. He has also practiced in the sports and entertainment area for many years, representing various high-level professional athletes in a variety of litigated and non-litigated matters. He is a mediator certified by the Florida Supreme Court and the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida, and in that capacity has mediated hundreds of complex commercial matters.

Memberships & Affiliations :

Mr. Koch has been involved for many years in the activities of the Business Law Section of the Florida Bar, and has served as the Chair of its Business Litigation Committee. He currently serves on the Florida Supreme Court Committee on Standard Jury Instructions in Business and Contract Cases and the Florida Bar Federal Court Practice Committee. He has been a frequent speaker at seminars on commercial litigation and alternative dispute resolution topics at seminars sponsored by the Florida Bar and other organizations.

In 2004 and 2006, he was a speaker and moderator at seminars on international alternative dispute resolution (mediation and arbitration) sponsored by the Center for International Legal Studies in Salzburg, Austria. He is a member of the Executive Committee of Derek Jeter's Turn 2 Foundation. Mr. Koch is also a member of the American Bar Association (sections on Litigation, Business Law, Antitrust and Dispute Resolution) and the Sports Lawyers Association. Jonathan Koch has been awarded an AV rating by Martindale-Hubbell and was recognized by the publication Best Lawyers in America in the categories of Antitrust and Commercial Litigation.

RATES & PAYMENT INFORMATION

Rates: $350 per hour divided equally per side, absent prior agreement on fee allocation or contrary court order.

Payment: Normally will invoice within several days of conclusion of mediation.

Cancellation Policy: Normally no cancellation fee but will invoice for actual time spent in preparation.
