Biographical Notes:

Mr. Mayans has been mediating and arbitrating regularly since 1994.  He has conducted in excess of 1,000 meditations and more than 25 arbitrations to final decision.  Although he currently continues law practice, ADR comprises 80% of his practice.  

In addition, Mr. Mayans has served in volunteer leadership positions with community and governmental entities, including the American Red Cross (past chapter chair of one of the nation’s top 30 chapters); the largest festival/arts event in Florida (executive committee member and legal counsel); a county-wide chamber of commerce (past board member and ethics task force chair); a city planning board (chair); a city zoning board (past vice chair); six city committees (mayoral appointments); and a neighborhood association (president).

RATES & PAYMENT INFORMATION

Rates: With few exceptions, Mr. Mayans' mediations are conducted at the "neutral location" of his offices in downtown West Palm Beach. The hourly rate is $375.00, divided between the parties, and there is no minimum charge.

Payment: Each party's attorney, if any, shall be responsible for timely delivery of each party's fees. The full amount of fees is due upon receipt of invoice. (If requested, the invoice can be prepared at the end of the mediation conference.)
