Biographical Notes:

I have been admitted to practice law in Virginia (1970), the District of Columbia (1970), Michigan (1977), Florida (1988) and Texas (1989). Additionally, I have been allowed to conduct trials in New York, Minnesota, California and Colorado.

I am a member of the bar of the U.S. Supreme Court and various Federal Circuit Courts of Appeal and District Courts. I am certified in Civil Trial Advocacy by the National Board of Trial Advocacy. I am certified in Business Litigation Law and Construction Law by the Florida Bar's Board of Legal Specialization.

I am also a member of the Commercial Panel, Construction Panel, Large & Complex Case Panel, and a mediator for the American Arbitration Association. I am a certified Umpire with the Windstorm Insurance Network. I am certified by the Florida Supreme Court as a Circuit/Civil Mediator.

ADR Experience:
Over 40 years in the practice of law in large to medium size firms in Washington, D.C., Detroit, West Palm Beach, Tampa and Sarasota. My entire practice has involved trials, arbitrations and mediations of complex civil cases. I have arbitrated over 200 cases as a neutral arbitrator for the American Arbitration Association, and I have mediated over 100 cases as a mediator for the AAA and also as a Florida State Circuit/Civil mediator. I am a certified Umpire with the Windstorm Insurance Network. I am certified by the Florida Supreme Court as a Circuit/Civil Mediator. I completed Florida's "Approved Arbitration Training" on August 28, 2008, to be a court-appointed arbitrator under Chapter 44, Fla. Stat. and Fla. R. Ct. App. Arb. 11. On March 5, 2010, I completed the Residential Mortgage Foreclosure Mediation Training pursuant to Administrative Order No. AOSC09-54.
