Biographical

David's experience as a mediator and litigator is exceedingly broad and includes professional liability, personal injury and insurance law, intellectual property claims, employment disputes, transportation law, real estate, probate, community association, and shareholder disputes. 

David is a graduate of Emory University and the University of Florida College of Law. In addition to serving as a litigation attonrey,  he served as a member of the National Faculty of the Society of Certified Insurance Counselors (CIC) teaching general liability insurance and agents & brokers liability. In 1983, David was awarded a Robert T. “Bobby” Jones Fellowship to the University of St. Andrews in Scotland residing in St. Salvator's Hall. 

David is a nationally recognized expert on mediation advocacy and ethics, and a lecturer for bar and insurance organizations across the United States. He has  been a guest lecturer at the University of Florida College of Law, UCF, and at Lloyds London. He has provided mediation training to claims personnel for a myriad of carriers including AIG, Hartford, CNA, Zurich, and Philadelphia Insurance Company. David has been published or featured in publications including The Florida Bar Journal, Entrepreneur, For the Defense, National Underwriter, and Orlando Lawyer. He lives in Orlando with his wife Sharon Jablonski Henry. David is actively involved with philanthropy serving as Vice-President and Director of the Henry Family Foundation which provides support to a variety of organizations including food banks, shelters, help for seniors, and organizations providing support ot veterans families and pediatric patients.

Rates Information

Rates are $390-450/hr. for most civil mediations with the fee split evenly between the parties.  Discounted rates for government, public interest,  or other selected matters including presuit mediations. There is a pro bono mediation service available on my website for legal aid cases.  I do not charge for travel inside the state of Florida.
