Biographical Notes:
Mr. Lancaster is experienced in serving as lead counsel in medical malpractice, nursing home litigation, product liability, motor vehicle liability and premise liability. He has tried jury trials in the Circuit Courts of Pinellas, Pasco, Hernando, Hillsborough, Hardee, Lee, Sarasota, Manatee, Charlotte and Polk counties. Mr. Lancaster has tried Civil Rights cases in the Federal District Court for the Middle District of Florida.
Mr. Lancaster has handled oral appellate arguments before the Second District Court of Appeals and the Florida Supreme Court. He has lectured on court ordered mediation at Stetson University College of Law and at Continuing Legal Education courses in Florida and Ohio.
Education:
Robert J. Lancaster, Partner, was born in Syracuse, New York, August 28, 1956. He received his B.A., cum laude from the University of South Florida in 1978 and his J.D. in 1981 from Stetson University College of Law. He was admitted to the Florida Bar and The U.S. Federal Court, Middle District in 1982.

Mr. Lancaster is a past member of the Board of Directors for the Family and Marriage Counseling Division of the Juvenile Welfare Board. He is a Board Certified Civil Trial Lawyer (Emeritus) by the Florida Bar, a Certified Circuit Court Mediator, a Certified Federal Court Mediator, and an Arbitrator. AV rated by Martindale-Hubbell. Mr. Lancaster was appointed in July of 2006 by Governor Jeb Bush to the State of Florida Judicial Nominating Commission for the Sixth Judicial Circuit for a term of 4 years. He is the past Chairman. He was also selected by peers as a Florida Super Lawyer in 2006,2007,2008, 2009 and 2010. Mr. Lancaster was listed in Florida Trend's "Legal Elite" as a mediator in 2007.
