Biographical Notes:

Scott Mitchell is a member of the Tallahassee-based firm Fuller, Mitchell, Hood & Stephens, LLC, where he enjoys an active practice in mediation and professional malpractice litigation.

Mr. Mitchell received his business degree in 1980 and his Juris Doctor (with honors) in 1983 from Florida State University, where he was a publishing member of the Florida State University Law Review. From 1983 until 1985, he served as law clerk to the Honorable Maurice M. Paul, United States District Judge for the Northern District of Florida. In 1985, he joined the law firm of Fuller, Johnson & Farrell, P. A., where he became a partner and remained until early 2007, when he left to become a founding member of Fuller, Mitchell, Hood & Stephens. Over the past 25 years, Mr. Mitchell has been involved in hundreds of professional malpractice, nursing home and assisted living facility, personal injury, wrongful death, product liability, employment, contract and construction matters. He has tried many of these cases to verdict before North Florida juries, and he attained board certification in Civil Trial Law in 1998. Mr. Mitchell also became certified as a Circuit Civil Mediator in 1998, and mediation has since become a substantial and rewarding part of his practice. He has successfully mediated hundreds of cases involving a wide range of civil issues.
