Biographical
Armando A. Rodriguez-Feo is a Florida Supreme Court Certified Circuit Civil and Appellate Mediator and a certified mediator for the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida. He is also a Florida Supreme Court Qualified Arbitrator and serves as a panel arbitrator with the American Arbitration Association. With nearly three decades of legal and dispute-resolution experience, Armando brings a disciplined, informed, and pragmatic approach to mediation and arbitration.
Armando has extensive experience resolving complex disputes, including personal injury and wrongful death, employment and civil rights matters, commercial and contract disputes, insurance coverage and bad-faith claims, premises liability, maritime and cruise-related claims, business torts, and multi-party litigation. His work spans both state and federal jurisdictions and frequently involves sophisticated legal, operational, and financial considerations.
Before becoming a full-time neutral, Armando served as Assistant Chief Counsel at The Walt Disney Company, a senior legal executive role equivalent to vice president level. During his 11-year tenure, he managed and resolved complex, high-stakes litigation across multiple business units and jurisdictions, including matters involving Walt Disney World Resort, Disney Cruise Line, and Disney Vacation Club. In that role, he advised senior leadership on litigation risk, employment-law compliance, and dispute-resolution strategy, providing him with a practical, in-house executive perspective that informs his work as a neutral.
Earlier in his career, Armando served as a trial attorney with the U.S. Department of Justice, Civil Division, Commercial Litigation Branch, where he first-chaired multi-million-dollar construction disputes, complex commercial cases, and employment matters in federal court on behalf of the United States. This combination of federal trial advocacy and senior in-house leadership enables him to assess litigation risk from multiple vantage points and help parties realistically evaluate exposure, leverage, and resolution options.
In addition to his experience as a litigator and in-house legal executive, Armando has more than 30 years of military experience—he currently serves as a Captain (O-6) in the United States Navy Reserve—which he draws upon to create a mediation environment where difficult conversations can occur productively under pressure. Accustomed to facilitating dialogue in settings where trust, clarity, and accountability are essential, he helps parties engage candidly while remaining focused on resolution.
Armando is fully bilingual in English and Spanish and is widely recognized for his cultural fluency and ability to facilitate productive dialogue in matters involving diverse parties and counsel. He tailors his mediation style to the needs of each case, blending facilitative and evaluative techniques to promote informed decision-making and durable resolutions.
Armando holds an AV-Preeminent® rating from Martindale-Hubbell, reflecting the highest peer recognition for legal ability and ethical standards.
