Biographical

Hilary High mediates throughout Florida and the Southeast, and is available anywhere for mediation via online videoconference.  She is a full-time mediator with 25 years of experience helping parties analyze risk and resolve cases involving wrongful death and catastrophic injury, professional malpractice (i.e. medical, dental, legal, etc.), nursing home/ALF liability, sexual abuse, funerary/mortuary liability, premises and products liability, insurance coverage and bad faith, auto, sinkhole, weather event damage, and other types of 1st and 3rd party claims.  She mediates multi-party cases, and specializes in cases involving high emotion, high value and high risk.  

Hilary is known for her preparation and for working deftly with complex legal, factual, and interpersonal situations.  She quickly establishes trust-based relationships with mediation participants, creating an atmosphere conducive to settlement.  Hilary's experience gives parties and lawyers confidence in the mediation process, and her creativity and commitment make her an extremely effective mediator.

Rates Information

Two Parties = $290/party/hour
Three Parties = $245/party/hour
Four Parties = $200/party/hour
Five or more Parties = $190/party/hour
 
Half day Mediations = 4 hour minimum
Full day Mediations = 8 hour minimum.  

Travel time outside of Hillsborough County, Florida will be billed for actual time spent traveling (rounded up to the nearest half hour), at a rate that is half of the applicable hourly rate, unless otherwise agreed between you and the Mediator.

The following fee will apply when a mediation is cancelled with less than 11 business days (15 calendar days) notice:  half day cancellations will incur a fee of four hours times the applicable total hourly amount, and full-day cancellations will incur a fee of eight hours times the applicable total hourly amount. A trial caveat will not obviate a cancellation fee.  The Mediator does not determine responsibility for the cancellation fee, and the cancellation fee will be assessed equally to all lawyers/law firms unless the Parties agree and instruct the Mediator otherwise.
