Biographical
Jeanne Charles has a multi-state Alternative Dispute Resolution practice in the Chicago and Fort Lauderdale areas primarily in the area of Labor and Employment. Her practice includes both arbitration and mediation services. She is listed with the American Arbitration Association, Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service, National Mediation Board and Resolute Systems, LLC. She serves on various public and private-sector arbitration panels including New York City Department of Education; Miami-Dade County; Cook County Illinois; Major League Baseball/Major League Baseball Players Association; the US Anti-Doping Agency; and the US Olympic and Paralympic Committee. Jeanne was appointed by President Biden to serve as a member of the Federal Service Impasses Panel resolving collective bargaining disputes between federal agencies and the unions representing their employees.
With almost 30 years of experience as an attorney, she earned her Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree from DePaul University School of Law in Chicago and maintains her law license in Illinois. Jeanne is an adjunct professor at Penn State University teaching graduate courses in Human Resources and Employment Relations and the University of Arizona Law School teaching Advanced Negotiations.
Jeanne has mediated over 1000 cases in a wide range of subject areas. Jeanne has been a speaker and presenter on various legal topics and Alternative Dispute Resolution, in general. She maintains professional affiliations with various organizations such as the American Bar Association, Illinois Bar Association, National Academy of Arbitrators (NAA) and is a fellow in the College of Labor and Employment Lawyers.
