Biographical

Bruce W. Robinson is the President of Robinson, Kennon & Kendron, P.A., and was admitted to the Florida Bar in 1972.  Since then, he has practiced throughout North Central Florida. He is a 1971 graduate of the University of Florida Law School with Honors, and a graduate of Florida State University in 1966. 

Mr. Robinson is a board-certified, civil trial lawyer, and has been since the first exam was given in 1983.  He has, in fact, served five (5) years on the Civil Trial Certification Committee, and served as a member of the Board of Governors for the Florida Bar for six (6) years.  In addition, he has served on the Florida Bar Code and Rules of Evidence Committee, the Civil Rules of Procedure Committee and the Law School Education and Admissions Committee. 

Mr. Robinson is an experienced trial lawyer whose work involves litigation and mediation since his certification as a Supreme Court Certified Circuit-Civil Mediator in 1991.  Mr. Robinson has been, and continues to be, active both as a civil trial lawyer and a civil mediator in personal injury, commercial, environmental and administrative matters.

Education

University of Florida College of Law; Gainesville, Florida, Juris Doctorate with Honors awarded December, 1971.

Florida State University; Bachelor of Arts, Tallahassee, Florida, 1966.

While as a student in his undergraduate years, he was selected for Omicron Delta Kappa and Gold Key at Florida State University.  Following graduation from Florida State University, he ultimately became a Captain in the United States Marine Corps Reserve, and was awarded the Navy Achievement Medal with Combat V for service in Vietnam. 


Memberships & Affiliations

 

Mr. Robinson is also a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA) and the American Inns of Court.  Mr. Robinson also served as President of the Lake City, Columbia County, Chamber of Commerce in 1978, and has served a number of years as a member of the Board of Directors of the Lake City, Columbia County, Chamber of Commerce.

 


Rates Information

The Mediator shall be compensated at the rate of $350.00 per hour for a mediation involving two (2) parties; $375.00 per hour for three (3) parties; $400.00 per hour for four (4) or more parties.  Travel time shall be billed at the rate of $150.00 per hour.  The cost of the mediation shall be borne equally among the parties.  Parties represented by the same attorney and having similar legal and factual identities (i.e., husband/wife, employer/employee) shall be treated as one party.  The Mediator shall be corresponded with at Post Office Box 1178, Lake City, Florida 32056-1178, and shall be served with any paper(s) regarding this mediation.   Attorneys for each party shall see to prompt payment, even if they are required to advance said costs.
